Good evening and welcome to the Floodlight Business Solutions Group launch party. If there’s anyone in the room tonight who doesn’t know me, my name is Don Robichaud, husband, father, Scotch lover, guitar player, classic car buff, entrepreneur and business owner.
When Floodlight was originally launched 8 years ago, my vision was to offer cost effective business coaching, sales training, marketing advice and branding solutions to small and medium sized businesses.
We have now worked with over 150 clients, primarily in Kelowna and surrounding areas.
Ultimately the goal has been to develop the same services for business owners across Canada. That dream is becoming reality.
I am excited to announce that Floodlight is now open for business in Ottawa, Kingston and Toronto.
The key message we bring to a new client is about the investment of time. Most business owners we encounter are so busy working in the business that they don’t make the commitment to work on the business.
They are not owners, they have become employees. Cost effective coaching and mentoring brings focus on business development and profit increases. After all, we are in business to make money with reliable and career satisfying results.
At Floodlight we advocate a 3-stage process called Assess, Assemble, and Apply.
Assess: In the first stage of our process we ask you to fill out an extensive questionnaire. Your answers help us diagnose the most critical areas of your business, where you feel the most pain. We then follow up with one-on-one conversation with you.
Assemble: In the second stage of our process we review the priorities and objectives derived from our Assessment stage, and assemble a tailor-made, coaching program specifically engineered to help you meet your goals.
Apply: The third stage of our process is the heart and soul of putting your business solutions plan into action through a regular weekly coaching program. We work closely with you to see you through the application of your plan on ataining specifically defined business solutions and objectives.
Our coaching program is designed to ensure that the achievement of your goals is both fun and rewarding, and that you are growing your business!
In my personal assessment of Floodlight I realized that if we wanted to grow our own business, we were going to have to add additional products and services.
Once the assessment was complete, job two was to assemble a team of consultants with a broad range of experience and success in their careers.
Now we apply a new marketing strategy to attract new clients to Floodlight while adding value to the relationships we have with existing clients.
The room tonight is filled with current and former Floodlight clients many of whom are friends as well as business
associates. By joining us here, you give me the opportunity as the owner of Floodlight Business Solutions Group to
formally introduce you to our new Floodlight Team and to announce our new services.
Let’s begin with the services:
- We now offer strategies for business turnaround including debt restructuring
- Branding and Communication Strategies including content marketing for websites and social media
- We have added new products such as, Video Production including what we call Signature Videos as well as testimonials and product demonstrations. Clients now have the ability to introduce and promote the virtues and benefits of their brand to current and prospective customers by using the power of corporate videos on their websites and in other marketing venues
- Other new products include Mobile Web Design to better display your website on handheld devices, Digital Signage for in-store advertising, and what we call our Corporate Identity Packages to help you with Marketing and Branding your business.
- To achieve this I have had many long conversations with the new Floodlight Team and they are all here tonight.
I’d like to specifically thank a couple of individuals.
In the last year Andrew Gregson and Ted Farr have not only become members of the Floodlight Team, but have served as valued advisors in the evolution of the Floodlight concept.
They have assisted greatly in the thought process to get to where we are today. Thank You.
I’d also like to thank someone that I have known since I was seventeen, my lovely wife Donna for without her support I would not be where I am today.
But mostly I’d like to thank our friends and clients for believing in Floodlight and in the growth of their own businesses.
Before we get to the Prizes, I’d like to also mention that over the last 6 months I have been in discussion with Jim Belshaw of Roys Shoes about the very successful Soles4Souls charity campaign.
It’s my pleasure to announce that in the spring of 2012 we debut Soles4Souls in Ottawa.
It is our goal to take Soles4Souls to every province in Canada, with a Million Shoe Mission.
