Overview
Floodlight was introduced to Karen Guy in the summer of 2009 and recognized her as a hard working realtor in West Kelowna. Karen had a diverse skill set in sales, marketing and computer skills.
The Challenge
Karen needed to tie her marketing into a cohesive story. She was utilizing some marketing touch points and was dabbling in radio and print advertising with no measurable results.
The Solution
Floodlight met with Karen Guy and in our assessment phase identified that her website had not been optimized for her service region. Karen needed to develop a stronger story about herself and her services.

- A storyboard was created for her website keying on her great service.
- A blog was added to her website so that she could increase her frequency of communication.
- Karen was communicating with her clients through the monthly Coldwell Banker newsletter. Floodlight helped create a secondary newsletter so Karen was able to touch base with her clients every two weeks.
- Social media was added to her mix including Facebook, YouTube and Twitter.
- Karen focused her marketing dollars on web based optimization and continued to update her skill set with further education in her industry.
The Result
In communicating more often with her clients Karen was able to generate her own traffic to her website. As a frequent blogger Karen was able to keep her clients up to date with the recent trends in the real estate market.
