I think that trying to land a job at 60 is swimming against the tide. At that point in your life you should be offering value as a business owner that provides his own staff.Eg. Lawyer, accountant, marketer. If you can't do that I don't believe you can cut it in an environment controlled by his children's age group simply by doing the job.

Terrific article, Ted and Don. I help many of these people in their job search, and wholeheartedly agree that retirement 'before they're ready' is such a waste. They have a lifetime of highly developed skills and knowledge to contribute - they just need the opportunity. Thanks for sharing it.

Managing debt is critical to personal financial success. Debt that is structured incorrectly can have a negative impact on cash flow and can make a business impossible to sell.

Check out this article from my blog ... Retirement for Business Owners http://mikehassard.blogspot.com/2011/01/retirement-for-business.html

Thanks again Don for the great article

Common sense is not a super-power :-)
Social Media is not outside of "real life" it's part of real life. Let's apply the same logic to relationships online as offline. The brands that are successful using social media have recognized this. Even though we are using a tool to communicate - we are still communicating with people!

See you in twitterville :-)
